Join Us for the International Wind Ensemble Academy and Festival 2026
The IWAF is an intensive summer program for young and adult music students aged 16-29, offering a unique opportunity to engage in enriching musical experiences. The event will feature multiple activities, including wind ensemble concerts, chamber music performances, recitals, lectures, and sessions dedicated to contemporary music and young composers.
Ensemble Concerts
Festival students will take the stage in the festival ensemble concerts, each concert offering a unique program set in diverse, captivating venues. One of these performances will be the final concert for the IWAF International Composition Competition – a special tribute to living composers and contemporary music.
International Tour
IWAF is launching the initial international tour in 2026! Following the 10-day residency and two concerts in Bangkok, Thailand, the group will embark on a tour to Kunming, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong.
Lessons/Masterclasses and Sectional
Each day, students will immerse themselves in dynamic, hands-on masterclasses, where they’ll receive personal guidance from world-class faculty. In addition, a series of sectional coachings are woven throughout the festival, offering tailored, in-depth instruction to elevate their ensemble and solo playing. With the unique opportunity to work with a diverse array of teachers, students will experience a rich variety of perspectives, unlocking new dimensions of their musicianship at every turn.

Round Table Discussion with Faculty
In this engaging session, students will have the unique opportunity to sit down with our esteemed faculty members and delve into the stories and strategies that shaped their successful careers. From navigating challenges to seizing key opportunities, faculty will share personal insights and valuable advice on building a thriving career in music. This is a chance for students to ask questions, gain practical wisdom, and learn from the experiences of world-class musicians and educators.
Experience on Thai Culture
Immerse yourself in the vibrant and captivating world of Thai culture in this enriching session. Students will embark on a journey to explore the rich traditions, art, and customs that make Thailand unique. Through interactive experiences, discussions, and cultural demonstrations, the Thai Culture lecture will offer a deeper understanding of Thailand’s historical influences, spiritual practices, and modern-day cultural fusion. This session is designed to showcase Thailand’s charm and unlock the mysteries of its heritage, leaving you with a profound appreciation for the country’s cultural landscape.
